Wrath of Angels

A wood stork spreads his wings wide to soak in the last light of day. I decided to finish this work as a B&W simply because the colors were too flat shooting directly into the setting sun, and B&W better serves the obvious hero of the composition—the silhouette. Wrath of Angels conjures images of the old B&W horror movies from the 1930s and 40s. The torches and pitchforks can't be far behind...

The Wakodahatchee Wetlands come alive in March, as thousands of birds, great and small, congregate to nest. Tens of thousands of visitors from around the world congregate as well.
