Dayhawks happened one morning in the coffee lounge of the Celebrity Beyond on a scenic Caribbean cruise. I didn't have my camera with me at the time, so I captured it with my phone instead. The moment I saw it on my phone I knew it would become my homage to Edward Hopper's Nighthawks. In Dayhawks we see pretty much the same sense of subdued, almost enforced solitude (note the attention to smartphones) in a scene both commanded and defined by the light. Sometimes the art composes itself and you just have to get out of the way.
