Sometimes life requires us to step aside just long enough for serendipity to step in. Such was the case with Wyeth Through the Windshield. Driving with my brother in his 1997 Buick, heading down a rural back road just outside Michigan City, IN. And this happened. Didn't ask him to slow down, just composed on the fly and took a wild shot through the windshield. I love the way the powerlines carry us like ziplines across the fields and drop us off at the farmhouse in the distance. Wyeth Through the Windshield channels Andrew Wyeth's mastery of rural American landscapes and intimate moments of solitude. It captures the same distinct qualities in a quiet, contemplative view of farmland rendered with precise detail and emotional restraint.
